Wish You Were Here Group Brings Leoncito to Life at Red Rock Casino, Resort & Spa

The debut Mexican restaurant concept set to open in Fall 2023.

Wish You Were Here Group, the hospitality group behind popular restaurants such as Élephante in Los Angeles, Little Ruby’s in New York City, Kassi Beach House and Rouge Room Restaurant and Lounge in Las Vegas, brings a new concept to Red Rock Casino, Resort and Spa with the introduction of Leoncito — a modern Mexican restaurant offering a regionally inspired menu that beautifully encapsulates the country’s essence, with a special emphasis on craft tequila, mezcal and artisanal cocktails.

Leoncito
“Leoncito is an homage to the incredible memories and experiences I’ve had in Mexico – a country I have so much love and respect for. We want to create a dining experience that fully encompasses the touch, smell and taste of the country’s rich history,” said Wish You Were Here Group Owner Nick Mathers. “Leoncito is meant to transport you into your familial kitchen, where traditions and stories are told through recipes with family and friends. An authentic experience from start to finish, Leoncito is adding another piece to the growing Summerlin dining scene, and we can’t wait to share the experience with guests.”

Leoncito is taking over the former Hearthstone Kitchen & Cellar space – marking Wish You Were Here Group’s second concept at the resort. It is slated to open in October 2023.

“Red Rock Casino Resort & Spa is excited to welcome Leoncito to the property. Following the successful opening of Rouge Room earlier this year, our continued partnership with Wish You Were Here Group has proven to be paramount in the resort’s property-wide transformation,” said Scott Nelson, Vice President and General Manager of Red Rock Casino, Resort & Spa.

Inspired by the vibrant colors and flavors of Mexico, Leoncito sets the tone for an all-encompassing dining experience that transports guests with green and terracotta hues, artisanal decor, lush greenery, plush, social seating and ambient lighting. Every aspect of the restaurant’s design was mindfully conceptualized to celebrate the rich history of Mexico while exuding a love for life – through food, drink, music and an atmosphere where everyone feels at home.

The expertly curated menu offers guests a guided tour across multiple regions of Mexico including Yucatan, Mexico City, Baja, Oaxaca and Zihuatanejo with an emphasis on high-quality products, produce, tequila and mezcal. Leoncito will be open seven days a week with indoor and outdoor seating for lunch, dinner and weekend brunch.
