Durango Casino & Resort, Station Casinos’ newest luxury resort set to debut in southwest Las Vegas on December 5th, 2023, is pleased to share that dining reservations for its signature restaurants are now available at DurangoResort.com. Superlative dining comes to life at Durango with the debut of unique concepts by acclaimed operators and new-to-market restaurants from some of the nation’s top restaurateurs including soon-to-be culinary destinations Bel-Aire Lounge, Mijo Modern Mexican, Summer House and The George Sportsmen’s Lounge. Durango also unveiled details about and opened reservations for its much anticipated original steakhouse Nicco’s Prime Cuts & Fresh Fish created by Chef Daniel Ye and Chef Frank Gorriceta.
Eat Your Heart Out hall of foods will bring together eclectic cuisines and lively communal dining when the resort opens. The new collection of highly sought-after outposts includes local favorites and beloved neighborhood restaurants from culinary-driven cities such as New York, Los Angeles, and Philadelphia. Spanning 25,000 square feet; the eatery will be home to enticing culinary offerings from new-to-market concepts, including Los Angeles staple Irv’s Burgers, New York’s Prince Street Pizza, Philadelphia’s Fiorella by Marc Vetri and the Hawaii Street Food centric Ai Pono Café. Local favorites include Shang Artisan Noodle, Vesta Coffee, Nielsen’s Frozen Custard, Yu Or Mi Sushi, an Oyster Bar, and DRNK bar. Bel-Aire Lounge
As the stunning centerpiece of Durango Casino & Resort’s main floor, Bel-Aire Lounge will seamlessly blend sophistication with high energy. Bel-Aire Lounge will bring together old-school glamor with contemporary flair; the chic cocktail bar will boast modern furnishings adorned with opulent gold and brass finishes, all complemented by the electrifying sounds of vinyl records spun by talented DJs and live music across various genres such as rock, hip-hop, pop, and indie. Alongside its captivating sounds, bartenders will be masters at crafting specialty cocktails that tantalize the palate, such as the Orange Sherbert, crafted with Belvedere vodka, Monin cantaloupe syrup, coconut water, turmeric powder, cinnamon orange herbal tea and garnished with papaya lemon zest foam, a dehydrated orange slice and a sprinkle of blue cornflower. At the same time, a selection of sweet and savory small plates and desserts will complete the gastronomic experience, including hamachi tostadas, spicy tuna on crispy rice and spicy flame-grilled Kobe beef sliders.
Mijo Modern Mexican Restaurant
Mijo Modern Mexican Restaurant’s menu showcases the diverse, tantalizing flavors of coastal Mexico presented through an unconventional lens. Mijo’s cuisine is highlighted by sizzling fajitas, prime meats, grilled whole fish, and to-die-for ceviche paired with exceptional margaritas and other craft cocktails that celebrate the spirits of Mexico. Mijo’s tacos, which are presented open-face on locally made white corn tortillas and served with scratch-made salsas and sauces, include the crispy carnitas tacos, butter-poached lobster tacos and more. Shareable plates include empanadas filled with shredded braised chicken and roasted poblanos served with crema and chipotle salsa, and charred octopus served over a bed of navy beans and chorizo with roasted potatoes and topped with pickled shallots. Wax Rabbit
An immersive cocktail lounge that will be hidden behind the walls of Mijo Modern Mexican Restaurant, Wax Rabbit will bring together embellished cocktails, enchanting design and DJs playing vinyl records. Cutting-edge mixology will pair the rich flavors of classic libations with Mexico’s finest spirits, highlighting the flavors of expertly curated mezcals and tequilas. Cocktails, which include a Oaxacan old fashioned and tequila añejo negroni, will honor Mexico’s rich spirits heritage, while extravagant cocktails designed for sharing will tantalize guests’ taste buds. DJs will spin music that spans genres on ‘wax,’ as vinyl records were dubbed during the rise of the underground bar scene in the ‘80s. Lettuce Entertain You Restaurants brings its popular California-inspired restaurant Summer House out west for the first time when it opens at Durango. At Summer House, it’s summer all year long where the warm California spirit combines with seasonal, market-driven dishes. The menu will range from Cali-style tacos and fresh vegetable plates and salads to housemade pastas, pizzas crafted with California milled flour and entrees from the live-fire wood grill. The George is the new, 24-hour dining and entertainment lounge at Durango offering chef-driven American fare, signature cocktails, beers and wines in an indoor-outdoor setting.
