As part of Green Valley Ranch’s ongoing property-wide transformation, the resort will soon welcome Nielsen’s Frozen Custard, the beloved family-owned brand known for its ultra-smooth, old-fashioned frozen custard. Set to make its debut in Spring 2026, the new custard shop will open in the current Baskin-Robbins space, which is set to close November 2.
The new addition, Nielsen’s Frozen Custard, will bring its signature, ultra-smooth frozen custard to the resort. Founded in 1981 by Steve and Debbie Nielsen, the family-owned brand is best known for its Double Custard Freezing Machine patented in 1983 which creates an exceptionally rich, creamy texture using a proprietary “great-grandma’s recipe” base. Las Vegas-based owners Howard and Amanda Zayon expand their partnership with Station Casinos with GVR being their third location inside the local casino properties. Guests can expect classic, old-fashioned frozen custard treats served in Nielsen’s nostalgic, retro-inspired style, a hallmark that has earned the brand a loyal following locally and beyond.
